Who we are
Lookup is a service of Cavil Consult. Contact: uduak@cavilconsult.com.
What we collect
- Account: email address and a securely hashed password.
- Profile: the name, other names, location, role, company, website and profile links and goals you enter.
- Review records: search results, findings, action items, reports, help requests and files you upload.
- Enquiries: the details you send through the contact form.
- Security records: session records, rate-limit counters and an audit log of staff changes.
We do not use advertising trackers. We do not put names, findings or report contents into analytics.
How we use it
To run your review, prepare your report and action plan, respond to help requests, keep your account secure and contact you about your account.
Who can see it
You, and Cavil Consult staff assigned to your review or case. Administrators can access records to manage the service. Every staff change to findings, cases, reports and roles is logged.
Third parties
If an automated search provider is connected, the searches built from your details (for example your name with your city) are sent to that provider. If email delivery is configured, emails are sent through our email provider. Subject lines never contain your name or findings.
Retention and deletion
You can download a copy of your data from Settings at any time. When you request deletion in Settings, your account is locked immediately and staff permanently delete your account, profile, results, findings, reports, cases and uploaded files within 30 days. Enquiries sent through the contact form are kept for up to 12 months. Audit records of staff actions are kept without your profile details.
Cookies
We use a sign-in cookie and a short-lived cookie that carries the name you type on the homepage to the sign-up page. Both are essential and are not used for tracking.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing us or using Settings.
